Nathaniel (Dancer) Manipulator of Light and Shadow, Student of the Ephemeral, Harnesser of Momentum, Walker of the Physical plane. When he isn't delighting audiences with his nimble, scantily-clad acts of physical storytelling, he is probably dwelling in Brooklyn. He is 61% water. He was assimilated by Pilobolus in 2012.
Krystal (Dancer) was as a kid from DC that would not sit still. Her father put that energy to good use by putting her in many activities like dance and gymnastics. Since 2010, she has danced for the coolest dance company. Winning! Follow her @spontaneousout on Instagram for more.
Quincy (Dancer) began training as a gymnast and figure skater in Maine before earning an Acting degree from Emerson College. He has since been performing and teaching in the NYC area for the past ten years. Quincy began working with Pilobolus in 2017 and does not dye his hair grey...it grows that way.
Heather (Dance Captain) grew up in NJ and started dancing young. She loved it so much she married it. Heather joined Pilobolus in 2010 and has a BFA from Rutgers University. She loves to rock out while gardening, plus wine. Major thanks to Mikey G whose patience has allowed her to live her dream.
Casey (Dancer) is a Brooklyn based dancer and choreographer. Born and raised in Los Angeles, CA. Casey has been dancing her entire life, catalyzing her training at The Colburn School Under Leslie Carothers and Glenn Edgerton. During her studies, Casey performed works by Martha Graham, Alvin Ailey, Shannon Gillen of Vim Vigor, and Ron Amit of Batsheva. After graduating SUNY Purchase’s Conservatory of Dance with a BFA in Dance & Choreography, she has trained rigorously across Europe and has danced for Lauren Beirne Dance Works. Casey is thrilled to be working with Pilobolus.
Teo (Dancer) a Vermont native, studied at the University of San Martin in Argentina, where he specialized in aerial fabric. After completing his studies, Teo performed with Fuerza Bruta and Prix Dami. His credits include a performance for the presidency of Argentina and the award of “best overall performance” at the Denver Aerial Arts Festival. Teo returned to North America with a passion for combining circus and dance and after completing a year with Pilobolus as an apprentice was asked to collaborate in the creation of Shadowland 2: The New Adventure.
Jacob Michael Warren
Jacob (Dance Captain) hails from New York City, and has been blessed with a wonderfully diverse career. When he’s not dancing with Pilobolus, he’s playing with his band The Harmonica Lewinskies, eating, or trying to prove that gravity is a myth. Thanks Mom & Dad for nurturing my creativity, rather than stifling it.
ISABELLA DIAZ (Dancer), was born in Chicago, Illinois. She began exploring movement through gymnastics at the age of 3. Smash cut to 13 years later, she slowly transitioned into the world of dance. She went on to study at Western Michigan University in a cute little place called Kalamazoo. Bella began working with Pilobolus in 2017.
ITAMAR KUBOVY (Executive Producer) has overseen Pilobolus since 2004. He founded Pilobolus’s International Collaborators Project, developed Pilobolus Creative Services, co-created Shadowland and the Umbrella Project, launched the Five Senses Festival, and co-founded the Freeman Design Council on Live Experience. He grew up in New Haven and studied philosophy at Yale.
RENÉE JAWORSKI (Co-Artistic Director) performed with Pilobolus since 2000, now choreographs and creates for projects and collaborations for stage, film and video; facilitates group workshops and projects in diverse communities with dancers and non-dancers and oversees the daily functioning and long term planning for the company’s creative endeavors.
MATT KENT (Co-Artistic Director)danced for Pilobolus from 1996 - 2004, helping create more than two dozen pieces, including classics like Gnomen and A Selection, a collaboration with Maurice Sendak. He has since directed for the stage and screen choreographing on horses, chinese acrobats, giant Michael Curry puppets, Zombies on the Walking Dead, jugglers, break dancers, actors, LED umbrellas and dancers.
